**1:1 Teaching Assistant

  • SEN**A Primary School that we work with in Stonehouse is currently looking for an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. The role is one that is needed as soon as possible and is being offered on a part time basis, 5 mornings a week, from This will be an ongoing role, with no set end date. The role itself is supporting a KS2 child with SEN who has an EHCP. This role length depends on the child and how long they are at the school, so indefinitely.


The school is looking for someone who has a brilliant work ethic, someone who can motivate themself without needing guidance and can use their initiative to take on the role and put 100% into it.

You must have previous experience of working with children as you need to be able to display great curriculum knowledge, be able to successfully form positive relationships with children, and jump straight into the role Having experience of working with SEN is also highly desirable.


What will you do on a daily basis?

  • Working with pupils either in a 1:1 or group capacity
  • Build effective, trusting relationships with children
  • Be flexible, adaptable and able to act proactively to unpredictable situations
  • Be reflective and fully committed to continued professional development
  • Foster excellent working relationships with staff, parents and other professionals
