Job Description

  • Department: Drawing Office
  • Reports To: Drawing Office Supervisor
  • Location: Cardiff
  • Contract: 1 year fixed term maternity cover
  • Overview:
  • We require a Design Draughtsperson to join our small Drawing Office team, designing and drawing 2D & 3D cabinetry and equipment layouts for Dental Practices, using 2D AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Job Responsibilities:
  • The role holder will be expected to be responsible for the following:
  • Convert sketches or Architectural plans into working presentation drawings and to the appropriate level of detail for manufacture.
  • Create bespoke cabinetry layouts and space planning of dental equipment.
  • Create service drawings for site to determine the position of all services used in dental surgeries and other related rooms.
  • Create 3D renders of dental surgeries, decontamination rooms and reception areas using SketchUp.
  • Accurately log data on Excel drawing register.
  • Job Skills & Experience Required:
  • To succeed in this role, you'll need the following:
  • Qualifications:
  • Vocational training in a technical discipline would be an advantage.
  • Skill & Experience:
  • One to two years minimum experience of working in a Drawing Office.
  • Experience with the following software packages: Autocad 2D, SketchUp, Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel).
  • Experience of space planning / Interior Design / Kitchen Design is desirable.
