About the role


We have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Professor Kristijan Ramadan's research team, which focuses on understanding the molecular mechanism of the DNA-protein crosslink (DPC) proteolysis repair.

You will be responsible for carrying out research on identifying and characterising the genes/pathways involved in DPC proteolysis repair.

In addition to this you will also provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including postdoctoral researchers, research assistants, technicians, and PhD and project students as well as assisting the PI with further grant writing and submission.


About you
You will have a relevant PhD (or be near to completion) in biology, chemistry, biomedicine or another related field.

Strong specialist knowledge in basic biochemistry basic biochemistry and cell biology, including gene cloning, CRISPR/Cas9 gene manipulation, creation of stable cell lines is essential.

This is a full-time post offered for 3 years in the first instance.
