Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a Postdoctoral Researcher in Mathematical Modeling, you will work closely with Professor Helen Byrne at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research to develop mathematical models that elucidate the role of lipids in cancer cell plasticity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze mathematical and computational models to investigate the impact of lipids on cancer cell behavior
- Collaborate with researchers from diverse backgrounds to design and implement research projects
- Prepare and present research findings to senior researchers and contribute to the preparation of research publications
- Manage small-scale research projects, including coordinating multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Develop and adapt research methodologies and materials to advance our understanding of cancer biology
Requirements
- PhD/DPhil in mathematics, data science, or a related field
- Specialized knowledge in mathematical modeling and computational biology
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
