HOURS: 371⁄2 hrs per week - Monday to Thursday 08:15 - 17:00 / Friday 08:15 - 12:45 (half day Fridays)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our new Manufacturing Engineering Manager position will play a key role in implementing production processes and equipment, spearheading efficiency enhancements through project-driven initiatives. Projects will range from new product introductions to designing manufacturing cells aimed at waste reduction, quality enhancement, safety improvement, and operational cost reduction.

The perfect candidate will be an exceptional leader capable of steering transformative changes to align with our long-term expansion strategies. We are looking for a proactive individual who can drive initiatives independently while also collaborating with various departments to establish manufacturing engineering best practices.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Manage governance and review processes to ensure alignment and support throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead operational improvement projects
  • Identify business enhancement opportunities and utilize LEAN tools for analysis
  • Develop manufacturing solutions for high-volume production environments
  • Provide support to operations in troubleshooting production-related issues
  • Implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Conduct manufacturing safety risk assessments
  • Develop alternative production methods using LEAN tools
  • Offer manufacturing expertise for new product/process programs

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The perfect candidate for this position must exhibit the following attributes and skills:

  • Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in production or manufacturing engineering within a quality-critical setting
  • Proficiency in project management
  • Strong critical thinking skills for product and process improvements
  • Understanding of lean/continuous improvement principles and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in various IT tools and software
  • Experience with CAD software is a plus
  • Basic electrical knowledge and/or testing experience would be advantageous
