This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Psychology Graduate to join our psychologically informed service supporting people who have experienced perinatal loss, Tokophobia (the fear of pregnancy), or trauma during their maternity journey.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual who is confident working independently and who can show initiative.You will be a valued member of the team and work directly under the clinical supervision of the team Clinical Psychologist.
You will be joining a well-established multi-disciplinary team who strive to deliver an excellent standard of care to people who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties because of their maternity journey.

The Lotus Service sits within the wider MPFT Perinatal Mental Health Services and we have a very supportive psychology team.
This includes a growing Assistant Psychologist peer supervision group, the opportunity to shadow psychologists, continued professional development and service development sessions as well as access to excellent internal and external training.
To support and enhance the delivery of psychological support for clients who have been referred to the service across all pathways (loss, trauma or Tokophobia).
This includes providing psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, and the development and delivery of group based interventions.
Liaison with the wider maternity system will also be required and there will be regular exposure to medical information and conversations.
The post-holder will be expected to regularly attend MDT referrals meetings, core team meetings, clinical and management supervision, and sessions to promote and protect team wellbeing such as reflective practice.
They will also assist in clinically related administration, development of resources, literature searches, service promotions and awareness events, conduct of audits, collection of clinical data, administration of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work as required.
The Lotus Service provides assessment and treatment to patients who are registered with a South Staffordshire GP surgery.Our team mainly work with Queen's Hospital Burton and Royal Stoke University Hospital, but we also liaise with other hospitals to support patients wherever they choose to access their maternity care.
The assistant psychologist post will be predominantly home-based working, however working across various sites may also be required.By joining Team MPFT, you will be helping your communities and in return for this, we will support you by;
