Outcomes is a data-driven product that utilizes advanced technology, employing programmatic activation across various KPIs ranging from brand awareness to direct response, through an omnichannel approach. Globally, OMG has focused on enhancing trading products, with Outcomes being a primary area of interest. The UK serves as a significant market for the development of Outcomes. To fuel our ambitious growth, we are seeking an internal planning and buying team dedicated to efficiently delivering guaranteed outcomes for our clients. The Outcomes UK team is a centralized unit within the broader OMG Digital team. This position presents a genuine opportunity for the chosen candidate to shape and steer the expansion of one of OMG UK's rapidly growing specialized services.

Role Summary & Responsibilities

In this newly established position, we are searching for an Outcomes Planning & Buying Manager who will collaborate with our UK agencies and technology partners to create exceptional Outcomes brief responses while utilizing buying platforms to achieve significant and cost-effective outcomes for our clients. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Planning:
  • Educating and leading discussions within OMG UK agencies to promote the Outcomes capability, fostering advocacy and comprehension of the Outcomes product through continual meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Responding to client/agency briefs by collaborating with Outcomes technology partners to determine the optimal approach and strategy for achieving a specific outcome. Establishing strong relationships and credibility with clients. Although the agency will maintain the client relationship, there may be opportunities for direct client interactions.
  • Contributing to the Outcomes UK product strategy by offering insights and suggestions to contribute to the product's development roadmap.
  • Buying:
  • Managing campaigns in DSP(s), including campaign setup in alignment with the media plan, pixel generation, trading, optimization, and delivery. Implementing PG and Deal ID deployment, SPO, performance reporting. Proficient understanding of digital ad tech platforms focusing on ad serving, analytics, attribution services, and their connection to programmatic and direct IO display activation.
  • Presenting advanced programmatic strategies, bidding mechanisms, and levers within a programmatic platform to both external and internal stakeholders. Ability to establish realistic KPIs for measurement across various DSPs, formats, and strategies.
  • Promoting top-tier output within the team through daily activation, including adherence to best practices and quality assurance measures.
  • Tackling challenges and optimizing key performance drivers to overcome hurdles in delivery and implement effective solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Overseeing projects to achieve optimal commercial and client outcomes.

Reporting Lines: On a day-to-day basis, this role will report to the Outcomes Director, UK, while also involving extensive agency interaction, collaborating with agency teams to meet client-established objectives.

Skills & Experience

A background in digital media, preferably from a media agency or ad tech business. Experience in supervising junior team members. Approachable and supportive management approach. Solid understanding of the digital ad tech market. Strong interpersonal, diplomacy, and relationship management skills. Proficient at team collaboration and stakeholder management. Comprehensive knowledge of DSP capabilities, DMP technology, and digital ad tech stack. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, capable of leading a team to meet tight deadlines. Confident in delivering presentations with a compelling narrative. Negotiation skills to deliver optimal commercial value for clients. Advanced analytical skills (e.g., MS Excel VLOOKUPs). Experience in working with extensive datasets to identify trends and insights.
