The Role:

nThe Quality Engineer will be responsible for proactively resolving quality issues across the business along with implementing & improving processes to deliver right first time product to the customer.

The right candidate will be willing to work collaboratively and proactively with other internal functions & incorporate Retrac's core values of Performance, Precision & Pride in all their work.


Main Duties:

n- Ensuring external customer requirements are understood, documented and communicated across all business functions.n- Leading technical problem-solving across the business & NCR reviews & resolving quality issues.n- Documenting & containing quality issues as required in production.n- Visually inspecting components/assemblies against cosmetic standards.n- Define internal processes & generate supporting process documentation.n- Leading project quality reviews with internal functions & customers, including reporting on the status of external quality issues.n- Ensure customer quality documentation is completed and submitted on-time.n- Develop internal standards for product familiesn- Provide guidance to the inspection team and ensuring quality best practices are being followed.


Technical Skillset:

n- Experience reviewing & interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.n- Visual inspection of cosmetic components/assemblies advantageous - Motorsport, niche vehicle, low production experience preferred.n- Knowledge of quality management systems, associated industry recognised standards (ISO9001, IATF 16949 & AS9100).n- Extensive knowledge of advanced problem-solving methodologies advantageous (8D/PPS).n- Familiar with OEM customer requirements APQP & PPAP.n- Internal auditing experience.n- Automotive, Aerospace or Motorsport industry knowledge.n- Use of MRP/ERP systems.
