How will you make an impact in this role?
Our Performance Management strategy focuses on helping colleagues achieve strong and consistent performance and grow their careers in ways that are unique and meaningful to them. The Director, Performance Management will bring rigour and passion in designing and activating the end-to-end Performance Management and Feedback @ Amex programs, ensuring colleagues and leaders have the tools and resources to optimize their performance and have meaningful performance and career conversations.
- Innovate and execute the annual cycle of goal setting, career and development planning, ongoing performance check-ins, and mid-year and year-end performance assessments and our Feedback @ Amex strategy, through the delivery of high-impact tools, resources, and experiences
- Craft and execute impactful communication and engagement plans which place the colleague experience at the center and integrate with Career Growth @ Amex and Leadership @ Amex
- Consult with business leaders, Colleague Strategic Partners and CEG Centers of Expertise to understand and address business and stakeholder needs
- Work closely with Colleague Services and technology vendors to design and manage the performance management platform to enable an intuitive, consistent user experience
- Demonstrate thought leadership leveraging trends and best practices to develop innovative, sustainable initiatives that increase our success in attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce
Minimum Qualifications
- Significant years' experience in HR, with a proven track record in designing and developing innovative colleague experience strategies with a focus on talent development and career growth
- Experience working within a global team with enterprise focus
- Strong project management skills with strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate, prioritize and delegate tasks and drive urgency
- Effective leadership approach with strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Understanding of workplace trends, and implications for a global, multi-generational workforce
