Job Responsibilities/Objectives

The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical and engineering aspects of projects to ensure a high level of accuracy and quality.

Working with teams to translate requirements into implementable tasks with practical timelines. Health & Safety issues will be a priority in this role.
# Overseeing projects from pre-start to finish
# Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned technical and engineering projects
# Translating client needs and organizing practical terms into required timelines to be met by the team
# Identifying potential problems with the project, leading the team into developing solutions and ensuring that they are implemented
# Hosting frequent meetings with teams to build morale and inform them of their daily activities
# Working with sub-contractors to develop viable time scales and working practices
# Monitoring and overseeing the site supervisors and their projects, including visiting projects
# Production and presentation of progress reports to the Project Manager
# Checking and signing-off weekly paperwork returned from the site

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, translate product drawings into actionable process information, and develop design ideas and plans successfully
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to cultivate good relationships
In-depth understanding of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD
Excellent analytical and judgment skills and the ability to develop budgets and track expenditures, including subcontracting hours
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
Autocad Qualification
NEBOSH General Certificate/NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Track record working in project Engineering/planning role
