We are looking for a Social Media Director to work on a 12 month fixed-term role to cover maternity leave.

They will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies for major campaigns. This includes liaising with the creative team to develop the strategy behind content ideas, social libraries, and influencer campaigns.

He/She is also expected to maintain quality control and has a high-level of involvement in agency promotion, new business development and proposal writing.

Oversee the strategy, development and implementation of client social media programmes not limited to social media strategy, social-first campaigns, influencer marketing and social-first video strategy

  • Provide creative input and high-level direction to team, including development of innovative campaigns, content ideas and other client content
  • Supervise account teams and day-to-day account activities to achieve maximum profitability
  • Identify and/or seize opportunities for selling projects to client group
  • Retain comprehensive knowledge of trends, emerging platforms, and new technologies in the digital marketing space
  • Maintain a high level of social and travel industry awareness, keeping abreast of trends and the latest news
  • Oversee team output to ensure quality control and client ROI
  • make recommendations regarding reviews/promotions for team
  • Actively participate in agency promotion
  • Some international / domestic travel may be required
Ability to develop and present effective social media plans and client programmes

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their communities as well as how to optimise performance
  • Experience overseeing comprehensive and creative campaigns
  • Experience managing/mentoring junior staff
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, writing and networking skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects for several clients simultaneously, while maintaining quality of work
Minimum 8 years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

  • Travel industry experience or knowledge a plus
  • Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or similar field
