Priory Adult Care is the UK's leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

It will be essential that you have experience in a similar setting, and are able you lead a team to meet the needs of the individuals, you will also need to be able to use a computer and full clean driving licence preferred. Have completed Level 2 Health and Social Care Qualification or Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker or willing to be working towards.

Job Advert Role Description

Conquest Lodge is a residential service that provides personalised, high quality, safe support for 19 adults with complex needs including autism, behaviours that challenge, mental health and learning disabilities.

Essential to being successful in this role you will need to:

Be flexible in meeting the needs of the individuals and the service. Manage stressful and challenging situations calmly by leading by example to ensure situations are managed safely and staff and residents supported appropriately. Make decisions on a daily basis. Understand the need for accurate record keeping and will at all times follow policy and procedures, support plans, risk assessments and relevant legislation. Take guidance and development support from Management as well as support your team to ensure that a culture of learning and progress for the service is at the centre of our practice. Provide meaningful supervisions to your team and lead team meetings as required. Be comfortable taking on additional responsibility as required by management including your own area of accountability within the service.

You will be confident in;

Understanding Autism and challenging behaviour Using a Positive Behaviour Support approach to supporting our residents Being responsible for and leading a team of support workers and key workers Administering medication Meeting with professionals both internally and externally Managing individual's finances and the homes budget as required for the role in line with policy and procedures. Managing Quality Performance Indicators (QPI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the service. Audits and meet the actions assigned to you in a timely manner. Support the service in performance management and the disciplinary process as required. Shared learning from all situations and supporting the team to meet compliance and excel in delivering an outstanding level of quality to the resident of our service.
