The Role
Entry level role dealing with direct tax issues affecting the Corporation; assisting with direct tax compliance, reporting and payment obligations of the Corporation and its UK subsidiaries.
Principal Accountabilities
Assisting with the preparation and delivery of UK tax returns. Preparation of quarterly tax payment calculations. Assisting with preparation and delivery of the consolidated group tax reporting. Maintaining and preparing withholding tax documentation and liaising with external investment managers. Liaising and assisting with ad hoc queries raised by internal departments and/or HMRC. Assisting with maintaining governance framework for overseas network. Provide ad hoc support to employment tax manager and the wider tax team where required.Skills
Good data analysis skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to organise and prioritise work and work independently. Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with other departments and external contacts. Proactive attitude and able to work diligently within the best of ability to meet requirements. Confidence to challenge information provided and to use initiative especially in dealing with areas of ambiguity.Knowledge
No prior tax or industry knowledge required. Willingness to learn/develop an understanding of UK corporation tax. Basic knowledge of excel.
