Job Title: Tax Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Assistant Manager to join our team at Pro-Tax. As a Tax Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical advice across a wide range of projects, including international expansion and restructuring, transatlantic structures, mergers and acquisitions, tax governance and control, finance / tax technology transformations, and a broad range of domestic and international tax issues relevant to the professional practices sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice on a wide range of tax projects, including international expansion and restructuring, transatlantic structures, mergers and acquisitions, tax governance and control, finance / tax technology transformations, and a broad range of domestic and international tax issues relevant to the professional practices sector.
  • Manage the year-end tax processes for the largest UK headquartered and US inbound law firms, giving you invaluable insight into the heart of their client's operations.
  • Work within a wider team of subject matter experts across our Global Employer Services, VAT, Tax Depreciation and Transfer Pricing practices, and you will be encouraged to co-ordinate tax advice across our specialist teams and have knowledge of key issues across other taxes.
  • Lead the client relationships across our international network by supporting and co-ordinating services from multiple locations.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, and take the lead on delivering client services.
  • Play an active part in building new relationships and winning work.
  • Receive continuous on-the-job training, including direct interaction with our partners and directors, as well as extensive opportunities to interact with clients and targets.
  • Develop junior members of the team and may act as a coach for more junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ATT, CTA or equivalent qualifications.
  • UK corporate or personal tax experience gained within a practice firm, a legal firm or industry.
  • Experience of working with professional practice partnerships, or experience of working with private businesses and a strong interest in advising professional practice clients.
  • Strong technical skills across a broad range of corporate/individual tax areas.
  • Experience of owning a portfolio of clients and the ability to form and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong people/leadership skills and experience of developing others.
  • Commercial awareness and the desire to understand your clients' businesses.
