Summary


We are a two form entry Primary School and we are looking to appoint a highly committed teaching assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated team.

The successful applicant will be expected to work with children delivering high quality interventions and work closely alongside our class teachers to support our children in the class.

Working hours are Monday to Friday pm hours per week TA3). The role includes welfare supervision (5 hours per week Welfare) The position will be permanent.


We are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity to join our hard working team and to contribute towards our vision for all children.

We are an Outstanding Primary School and have high expectations of our children's behaviour and academic achievement.

We provide Sherwood children with a vibrant curriculum and work closely with our families to support children's social and emotional needs.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ/BTEC Level 3 childcare qualification or higher qualification
  • English and Mathematics GCSE Grade C or above
Desirable Qualifications

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification
Essential Experience

  • Experience of working with children in a school in a teaching assistant role
  • A positive role model for children who will lead by example and form positive relationships within a team
Desirable Experience

  • Monitoring targets for future progress
  • Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
  • Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils
  • Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school's practice
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
