The role
This is a pivotal role within our company, and we are looking for a strong candidate to be part of our team

Duties will include:
Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for limited companies.
Preparing accounts and tax returns for sole traders and partnerships.
Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Client relationship building.
Occasional on-site visits.
Adhering to deadlines and keeping principals informed of progress.
Liaising with other departments in the firm.
Essential skills
At least 2-3 years experience gained in a similar senior accounts/accountant role preferably within practice.
Fully ACCA or ACA qualified - we will consider an unqualified or part-qualified candidate in exceptional circumstances.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey financial information to our clients in a clear and easy to understand way.

Knowledge of digital software, mainly Xero and Sage Cloud.
Up to date knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
Corporation and personal tax knowledge.
Any knowledge of either Iris or Tax Calc would be an advantage.
Additional information
We pay an annual based on company and individual performance. We also operate flexible working for those wishing to spend some of the working week working at home.
