Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review management accounts for a portfolio of UK companies
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper recording of financial transactions
  • Analyze costs, revenues, and financial commitments to project future expenses and income
  • Manage month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
  • Manage cash flow through weekly payment runs and financial forecasting
  • Support the preparation of KPIs and financial dashboards for business insights
  • Promote best practices to standardize processes and drive operational efficiency
  • Lead project work such as financial investigations and occasional client secondments
  • Collaborate with heads of different entities to ensure smooth business operations
  • Prepare budgets and regular forecasts
  • Mentor junior staff and handle ad-hoc projects
Requirements:
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in financial/management accounting, preferably beyond audit environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner with stakeholders
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience in accounting software such as Xero
  • Ability to collaborate with non-finance peers
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
