Your team

This role will be part of our commercial go-to-market teams: Marketing, Sales and Customer Success. You'll be reporting to our co-CEO/CRO. We are currently in building mode where all new hires are instrumental to our growth and by joining now, you have the opportunity to be involved in shaping our commercial strategies, processes and impact both the direction and roadmap for Zoa's products.

The role

This is a full sales cycle role; meaning you will be responsible for sourcing through to completion of getting contracts signed and then hand-over to Onboarding and Customer Success. You will have marketing support as well as partnership with solution engineering for technical support.

Creativity and efficiency are essential for generating leads and closing sales successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customer's business, challenges, and goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and close sales.
  • Build a strong pipeline of qualified prospects for both short and long-term horizons.
  • Develop and execute account plans that align with the customer's needs and our sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring commercial insight into our product development cycle and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends to better serve our customers.
  • Leverage creativity and innovation to find new ways to add value for our customers.
  • Engage and build a strong network of customers, partners, and industry influencers, including participating in both domestic and international trade events

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience, strong preference for SaaS with focus on selling to energy and/or utility companies
  • First-class commercial skills to navigate complex pricing and contracting negotiations
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building happy and long-term customer relationships
  • Customer-first mindset with a focus on delivering value and solving business problems
  • Team player - track record of building strong relationships with peers and team members - team lead or management experience would be an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with customers and internal teams
  • Result-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset and a willingness to take risks and try new things
