At EES Solutions, we are at the forefront of pioneering engineering solutions spanning across diverse sectors like Rail, Automotive, Marine, and Energy.

In this specific contract position, you'll be working hand-in-hand with our dedicated automotive clientele.

Due to the nature of the role, we will only be able to consider candidates with direct Automotive work experience.

Working as a consultant, you will support our Customer's existing engineering quality resource, you will be responsible for driving an increased throughput of automotive projects through to robust resolution.

We are actively seeking experienced Automotive Project Engineers in the following disciplines:
~ Each project will be progressed using defined problem-solving methodology, predominantly 8D process, from problem definition through to engineering release.

Our Customer has existing quality improvement teams in each of the engineering specialisms (body, chassis, powertrain, electrical, and power conversion).

The Power Conversion Project Engineer will take ownership of issues related to HV and 48V power conversion systems, including DCDC Inverters and Belt Integrated Starter Generators (B-ISG).

You will focus on diagnostics, testing, and writing test scripts to excite failure modes and support problem resolution.
Conducting data-gathering activities to understand possible contributing factors and root causes.
Building detailed understanding of the full power conversion system functionality.
Reporting transparently on quality issue status.
Recommending improvements to engineering standards for current and future power components/systems.
Familiarity with automotive fault-finding and diagnostics (e.g., Experience in testing and exciting failure modes, including writing test scripts.
HV System/System Engineering knowledge would be beneficial.
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
Full valid UK driving license.

It Would Be An Asset If You Also Have Experience In:

Knowledge of CAD tools such as Catia V5/V6 (for specific roles) plus vis-mockup/digibuck.
Agile delivery process experience, including Scrum approach and Jira toolset.
Requirements capture/updates, DVP & component testing.
Ability to manage several projects to agreed deadlines.
Initiative and capability to deliver projects in a highly complex, demanding environment.

Key Performance Indicators:
Appropriate response time to field quality issues resolution.
Resolution of priority quality issues and reduction in recurring issue types.
Robust progression of quality projects through relevant systems.
Ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way while building credibility and trust.
