Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking two highly skilled Project Engineers to join our team in the Midlands/Staffordshire area. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and commissioning of our solar and battery energy storage systems. You will work closely with our in-house construction team and EPC contractor to deliver our substantial 1GW pipeline of solar and BESS projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the initial electrical or C&I requirements for our solar, battery energy storage systems, and power response projects; review and approve submitted designs.
  • Establish the C&I, OT, IT, and SCADA system requirements for new renewable energy projects or inspect as-built drawings upon project completion to verify their accuracy and completeness, and confirm they are delivered in the appropriate format.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and oversee factory testing to ensure that the electrical/C&I design and build meets the specified design and requirements.

Requirements:

  • HND or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in Electrical Design on LV/HV Projects or in specifying and integrating Controls and SCADA systems
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to travel when required
  • UK Drivers License
  • Plus if you have Solar and/or BESS experience

What We Offer:

  • Salary between £45-60,000 dependent on experience
  • £7.5-9,000 Car Allowance
  • Annual bonus up to 25% (average payout is 20%)
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Financial support for domestic Solar/BESS/EV charge point installations
