ABOUT THE ROLE

Northumbria University are recruiting a Club Development Officer who will support the successful development of Northumbria's Student Sport Clubs.

Our 34 Student Sport Clubs offer students the opportunity to take part at a range of levels from non-competitive to representing the University within BUCS.

The Club Development Officer will work with the Sport Club Manager to support Student Committee Members, Sports Coaches, and the Vice President of Sport to further develop our sports club's pathway of opportunity, whilst offering an excellent sporting experience to all students.

The Club Development Officer will play a key role in planning and delivering sports clubs training, BUCS competition, workforce, and equipment, as well as supporting the development of Student Committee members by delivering committee training and development workshops.

The Club Development Officer will work with clubs to support key campaigns aimed at engaging with a diverse range of students at all abilities.

Reporting into the Sport Club Manager the role will play an integral part in the student facing delivery within sport at Northumbria.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The role will join Northumbria Sport, a core department within Campus Services. Northumbria Sport is responsible for delivering an excellent student experience through our range of sport, fitness and wellbeing programmes.

The role will be predominantly located at Sport Central, but will include working across sites including Coach Lane and external venues.


ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a customer-facing, forward-thinking individual, with a background in sport development that can further develop the Sport Club programme.

To be successful in the role you will have experience of working within sport development across a range of sports, providing excellent customer service, an understanding of higher education sport and BUCS competitions, and experience developing sport clubs.
