Support Worker at Wirral

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: Sleep rate £60 per shift
  • Shift Pattern: 1 day on (24 hours), 2 days off

We are searching for a dedicated Support Worker to become part of our team, delivering care and assistance to children and young individuals in one of our three homes located in the Wirral area. This position is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about creating a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • Offer consistent and thorough care to children and young individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist in cultivating social skills and independence in a home setting.
  • Engage with children and young individuals in a variety of activities, both at home and in the community.
  • Collaborate with other team members to organize and manage care effectively.
  • Maintain precise and confidential records of activities and progress.
  • Take part in team meetings and contribute to care plan enhancements.
  • Be ready to work a 24-hour shift cycle, followed by two days off.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a support role for children or young individuals is extremely beneficial, with a minimum of 6 months.
  • Desired Level 3 in Children's residential (if you do not have this, worry not as we will support you in achieving it)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively within a team and establish connections with young individuals.
  • Resilience and patience in handling difficult situations.
  • Dedication to the care and welfare of young individuals.
