Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and driving the marketing strategy in line with global guidelines for HUDA BEAUTY and KAYALI and implementing trade and brand and product activations. Key areas: product and trade marketing to increase brand awareness, drive footfall, create engagement and drive sales. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Trade Marketing Strategy
  • Create and deliver strong trade marketing plan for our brands on several retailers.
  • Develop and manage marketing plans with unique 360 campaigns. Liaise with retailer and internal departments to secure opportunities and coordinate initiatives to deliver sales targets.
  • Develop and manage a robust sampling plan to engage consumers (through retailers loyalty programmes or others). Link back to overall brand objectives, focus on new client acquisition and deliver strong ROI while working with internal teams to execute all programmes flawlessly and on-time.
  • Responsible for product assortments, communicating new product launches and discontinuations and coordinating assortment changes with retailers while working with internal VM team on fixture updates.
  • Develop excellent relationships with retail partners, ensuring all opportunities to promote the brand are maximized.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Marketing Director to proactively suggest specific approaches to drive localization eg. Product, Pricing, go to market strategy.
  • Complete product/campaign launch review as/when requested.
Image
  • Ensure consistency of HB style and core values in all trade marketing activities and locally produced materials.
Trade/retail
  • Manage trade marketing initiatives ensuring effective communication between Retailers, HB teams and customer services.
  • Work closely with Sales, PR, Training and VM to ensure translation of marketing plan and visualisation to the teams.
  • Assist in net sales management, consistently monitoring shipments, changes in product availability, proactively identify OOS product risks or up ticks in demand and manage product discontinuation/phase outs to minimise non-productive inventory.
  • Partner with sales team to equip field sales team with necessary reporting and tools to successfully manage Retailers stores sell through.
  • Supply retailer deliverables (comps, copy, visual's) ensuring on-time execution based on Retailers timelines.
  • Manage presentation of all launches internally and externally (retailers strategy meetings).
Education
  • Liaise with Education manager to develop support materials and training plans aligned with brand objectives.
Budget
  • Monitor expenditures by activity in line with budget and ensure trackers are correctly maintained.
  • Ensure adequate stock coverage for all products through forecasting accuracy and quota management working closely with the demand planner.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out with budget parameters as agreed with the Senior Marketing Director.
Others
  • Support any ad-hoc project as required by the business.
Requirement
  • Previous beauty industry experience is a must, preferably in make-up.
  • Strong Retail and Trade marketing experience
  • Knowledge of several UK and European Retailers.
  • Digital forward thinking
  • Good balance of strategic and operational, consumer centric marketing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to liaise confident with retail partners, agencies.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and self-directed.
  • Ability to adapt quickly within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • "Can do" attitude.
