Job description

We are recruiting for a Housing Domestic Abuse support Worker:
We are recruiting for someone who is flexible and can cover on-call / weekends as per the rota schedule.

Housing
We are recruiting someone with relevant background in supporting vulnerable individuals and women fleeing domestic abuse.


To carry out mandatory checks of households H&S / ensure rota is in place / ensure weekly handovers of cases take place and service user cases are being dealt with whereby there is progression and positive outcomes being achieved, audits of files and liaison with external bodies etc.

Overall a person that is reliable and can work to own initiative and demonstrate good practice.

ESSENTIAL

A Driving Licence and Use of own vehicle is essential for this role.


The needs of our residents will vary, with issues related to Mental health, domestic violence, immigration issues, health and housing-resettlement related etc.

Essential Requirements

You must have experience of:

  • Ability to deal with a high volume of work efficiently and effectively
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a pressurised environment
- carry out assessments and co-produce individual support plans
- completing risk assessments

  • The progressions / outcomes delivered should be recorded, monitored, reviewed and updated regularly, in a timely manner and in line with contract requirement
  • Ensure that the environment of the service user accommodation is well maintained and in adherence with health and safety regulations
  • Work with colleagues and coordinate activity across the team and with other stakeholders, including attending meetings, to ensure the service is achieving its aims
  • Using of initiative, innovation and supporting the company grow and develop.
