Handyperson Job Description and Duties

Job Role:
This work will involve minor repairs and installation work. It may also involve finishing/ snagging works on completed properties. You will need the skills to carry out a range of basic tasks across multiple trades.

Work will involve attending multiple properties throughout the day, most of which will be in FY postcodes. A full driving license is therefore essential.

More information on day-to-day duties will be provided to shortlisted applicants.

Job Duties:

  • Minor repairs and installation works
  • Finishing works/ snagging
  • Understanding technical drawings and how your work will fit within the building
  • Estimating the materials needed for a job within budgetary contexts
  • Liaise with clients and assure them of the progress of their job
  • Following health and safety standards at all times

Skills and Qualifications:
Must have a pass at GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent). Must have full UK driving licence.

Collaborative, Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills, Decision-Making Ability, Good Listening Skills, Strong Verbal Communication, Customer-Service and Interpersonal Skills, Good Maths and English Skills, Excellent Trouble-Shooting Ability, Ability to work and co-ordinate with other trades
