This is a threeyear parttime course delivered by the University of Derby through an online programme of postgraduate study.
  • We are seeking a newly qualified graduate to join the council and be part of the Regulation and Enforcement Service. _Working in our Environmental Enforcement Team you will help deliver the councils ambition of maintaining a highquality environment, where local people and visitors can enjoy good health and wellbeing, and create safe and clean public places, where our residents, visitors and businesses feel safe, leading to economic growth.

Environmental health touches on every aspect of our lives, so whether you are interested in making our food or housing safer, protecting the environment or the public's health, this is a great opportunity to make a worthwhile contribution.

Whilst studying, you will occupy the role of a
Trainee Environmental Health Practitioner where we will provide you with the opportunity to transfer your learning into the workplace.

You will work closely with a specialist team, focusing on tackling _environmental crimes.

_Your primary function will be to investigate and resolve complaints and enquiries dealing with a range of issues including statutory nuisance, _fly tipping, abandoned vehicles, dog control and waste duty of care offences.

_


Once you have completed the online study for the MSc in Environmental Health you will be able to work across many different areas of Environmental Health.

This may include food safety; health and safety; communicable disease control, pollution and private sector housing to gain the full breadth of experience necessary to complete Professional Registration with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health taking an additional 12 months while supporting the delivery of the Council's Regulatory Services.


  • We can offer time off for study and flexible working arrangements. You will be based at the Municipal Offices in Grimsby Town Centre for a portion of your time. You will need to have a full and valid driving licence._
