Finance Manager at a Global Manufacturing Business in Midlothian


We are currently working with a global manufacturing company seeking a Finance Manager to cover a maternity leave for a period of 18 months, with a salary of circa. £70,000. The successful candidate is expected to commence by the 1st July, or preferably sooner.


As the number 2 in Finance for their UK Operations, you will lead and develop the UK Finance team of 4 members, ensuring efficient operations, timely monthly and quarterly closings, strong internal controls, and accounting procedures.


Core responsibilities within the role:
  • Provide oversight, leadership, and development of the UK Finance team
  • Prepare and deliver insightful monthly management accounts and analysis
  • Review actuals versus budget and forecast
  • Contribute to forecasting and planning
  • Establish accounting processes for revenue recognition, inventory, and COGS
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and regulations
  • Collaborate with other business functions to achieve organizational objectives
  • Develop a high-performing Finance team

The role demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to change. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, bringing drive, energy, and the ability to add significant value to the business, ideally with manufacturing experience and knowledge of product costing and COGS.
