We are on the lookout for a Security and Safety Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing Security, Health & Safety, and Crisis Management. The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to ensure legal compliance, uphold company and brand standards, implement security/health and safety protocols, and provide necessary training to maintain a safe environment for employees, guests, and visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Protect company assets from theft, assault, fire, and other safety concerns.
- Keep the General Manager and Hotel Manager informed of any incidents or situations posing risks to the company.
- Compile detailed reports on observations, incidents, surveillance activities, and witness interviews.
- Identify hazards and take corrective actions as needed.
- Champion the Diligence system and oversee each hotel's Safety Management System.
- Alert relevant Department Heads of any safety hazards or security risks.
- Offer guidance and support to Department Heads during risk assessments.
- Approve all departmental risk assessments and safety reports.
- Coordinate annual reviews of Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Crisis & Emergency Plans.
What we are looking for:
- A genuine passion for guest experience and hospitality.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards and ensuring guest and employee safety.
- Previous experience as a Safety & Security Manager in a hotel or similar setting is preferred.
- Desirable qualifications include SIA License, First Aid At Work training, and NEBOSH accreditation.
- Proactive mindset to anticipate customer service needs.
