Job Description:


As leader of the Communications team within our busy, fast-paced Group Marketing function, you will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering a full and varied calendar of communications on behalf of the Group.


Providing direct support to the Group Head of Marketing & Communications, you will be a highly organised self-starter, adept at juggling multiple competing priorities and able to hit the ground running as you work closely and collaboratively with your team, colleagues and senior stakeholders across the globe on a broad range of initiatives.


You'll have a flare for writing and be well versed in adapting your approach and style to suit different audiences and channels.

You will have particular strength in areas that require a solid understanding of the IQ-EQ business, its services and market sectors, including industry thought leadership and commercial updates.

You'll thrive on building relationships across the group as you seek to support the sales and client-facing teams in achieving the firm's commercial objectives.

You will also have an eye for detail and uphold the highest of standards when developing and/or reviewing content for external publication.


Responsibilities (how we will measure success)

  • Proactively lead and manage the delivery of the Group's communications agenda in line with overarching business priorities and strategic campaigns
  • Maintain uptodate activity boards (tracking all PR, thought leadership and internal comms) and provide monthly reporting on defined KPIs
  • Lead the relationship and liaise closely with IQ-EQ's external PR agency to manage key announcements and campaigns
  • Work directly with department head and other key business stakeholders to develop, plan and roll out strategic campaigns and projects
  • Lead IQ-EQ's industry awards agenda planning, drafting, editing and submitting entries on behalf of the group and key individuals within the business
  • Manage endtoend IQ-EQ's periodic client enewsletters, covering segment insights and regulatory updates
  • Manage provision of company profiles for third party websites/publications
  • Act as gatekeeper for thought leadership content quality and coordinating final signoff on all comms activity from IQ-EQ's internal Editorial Board
  • Linemanage the team's Communications Manager and Senior Communications Executive, providing suitable support, guidance and leadership

Qualifications:

Required Experience

  • Education / professional qualifications
  • Degree in Marketing, PR, Journalism or English, or the CIM Professional Marketing Diploma
  • Background experience
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a PR agency or inhouse marketing team with focus on communications (ideally B2B / financial services), including 1+ years in a similar management/leadership role

Technical

  • Strong copywriting and editing skills with excellent spelling and grammar
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal communication and people skills
  • Excellent organisation skills with ability to multitask and balance competing priorities
  • Familiarity with using social media (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) for business purposes
  • Adept at conducting desk research and distilling key information

Computer / program knowledge

  • Experience using content management systems (CMS) to edit website or intranet content
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Company, product and market knowledge

  • Experience working in a corporate / professional services environment, ideally in financial services
  • Good knowledge and understanding of IQ-EQ's service offering, sectors and target markets
