To perform a range of organisational, supervisory and manufacturing functions within the pharmacy aseptic unit in order to provide an efficient and quality service.


  • Assist with the day to day to supervision and coordination of aseptic manufacture and dispensing activities, highlighting any issues to the senior pharmacy technician team
  • Planning and prioritisation of own workload in order to direct junior and trainee team members to maintain consistent workflow.
  • Aseptic manufacture of medicines using aseptic technique in pharmaceutical isolators following validated methods and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide preprocess checks on assembled trays upon completion of accreditation
  • Provide inprocess checks accuracy checks upon completion of accreditation
  • Provide clean room supervision during the manufacturing of medicines
  • To assist the Senior Pharmacy Technicians
  • Education and Training in training staff members in broth transfer validations, transfer processes, assembly, dispensing and manufacture of aseptic products.
  • Identify training needs of team members and feed back to the Senior Pharmacy Technicians
  • Education and Training.
  • To carry out environmental monitoring for isolators and clean rooms, reporting any deviations from procedures or parameters
  • To maintain own operator validations as per Standard Operating Procedures
