How you'll play your part

In this Product and Pricing Lead role, you will support the process of setting rate, terms, and commissions for both our PC and CV dealer networks and ensure MBFS maintain the required profit margin and Risk Adjusted Return on Capital targets.To identify product development opportunities and work with the various stakeholders to deliver new initiatives which will increase portfolio and/or support the objectives of our brand partner.

Main Accountabilities

· Support the Product and Pricing manager with the MBFS commission modelling tools, making suggestions and improvements where necessary. Identify modifications to products and pricing models to optimise competitive opportunity and customer benefit.

· Own the channel pricing planning across 10 MBFS sales channels on a monthly and ad-hoc basis. On a monthly basis work with key stakeholders such as the Finance and Controlling team to model our retailer base rates and commission scales. Ensure required margins and RORAC are forecast using the RORAC modelling tool and Cost of funds indicators. Present proposal to Heads of Business prior to senior stakeholder approval. Ensure governance around accuracy and sign off process. This will cover all rates and terms across PC and Van, Retailer and Fleet and Wholesale. Ensure we monthly compare our modelled pricing position vs the actual monthly position and report to senior management. Also provide regular reporting on trends to Pricing committee. Provide S&M input slides and insight for the main Pricing Committee meetings.

· Generate product development ideas to drive portfolio growth and/or support for our brand partner. Working with the Product and Pricing Manager, define, qualify, and quantify the opportunity and produce Product Development Business Case. Working with the strategic Programmes team drive a project to delivery.

· Support in the delivery of any MBUK Sales programmes or Schemes where MBFS is involved in the funding. Manage how these programmes or schemes are designed and delivered. Ensure that they financially work for all parties; are compliant and have documented processes and approvals.

· Working alongside our campaigns team, conduct timely benchmarking and Mystery shopping to ensure our product offerings are competitive. This will include how our joint MBFS/MBC proposition is performing in the marketplace taking into account Monthly Payments, APR, RVs, deposit contribution, tactical campaigns.

· Consult with compliance around product related change topics to identify risk and mitigation and recommend an MBFS solution.

· Working with Compliance to assist in the FCA Product Review process: defining the measures by which we should assess our product range ensuring they are compliant with Consumer Duty legislation. Perform required analysis and produce appropriate evidence in line with FCA guidelines.

· Maintain the Global Product Database for the UK – updating for any product change approvals locally and with HQ.
