Job Description

Senior Network Engineer (Cisco, Aruba)

£52,000 - £57, days per week working from Croydon office (the rest working remotely)

Our client is in need of a Senior Network Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is based in Croydon and requires a minimum of 2 days per week on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Installing and maintaining network infrastructure services such as Cisco Catalyst switching, Cisco Wireless LAN, Aruba CX Switching, Aruba Wireless, Aruba Central, Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ASA and Firepower Firewalls, and more.
  • Maintaining hardware and ensuring it is up to date with the latest software/firmware.
  • Monitoring network performance, capacity, and compliance requirements.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting network issues to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conducting vulnerability and penetration tests to address security risks.
  • Reviewing technology infrastructure to align with corporate objectives.
  • Supporting business case development and implementing strategic plans.
  • Remaining informed about new technologies and liaising with vendors and partners.

Key experience required:

  • Minimum of three years experience as a Network Engineer.
  • On-site IT Customer Service experience.
  • Deploying and maintaining Cisco and Aruba network solutions.
  • Working with hybrid environments and Microsoft products.
  • Experience with ITIL service desk functions.
