PURCHASING COORDINATOR

STOKE ON TRENT

PERMANENT

FULL TIME HOURS

UP TO £29K DOE

THE ROLE

  • Procurement of goods and materials in line with production needs
  • Working closely with the Production Planner to ensure materials are available to support the production plan
  • Monitoring of product prices and updating accordingly, seeking out more economical alternatives where possible
  • Holding suppliers accountable for quality and nonconformance issues via use of nonconformance reports and associated investigations
  • Managing record keeping of stock on MS Excel system
  • Investigation of any product quality issues and providing successful resolution
  • Ensuring that stock of all items across the site are effectively rotated

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience of leading a purchasing function within in a manufacturing setting
  • Proven ability to manage supplier quality issues and manage through to a successful conclusion
  • Strong IT skills to include Microsoft Excel
  • Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across clerical and production teams
  • Ability to prioritise workloads effectively across a broad range of tasks
