Sr.

Associate, EduFinance Asia

role is responsible for mobilizing investments into the local affordable education sector within key markets across Asia. This role will oversee technical assistance operations across Asia and will report to the Director of ETAF.

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

_ Regional strategy and goal development_

  • Establish regional goals and expansion strategy for Asia in collaboration with the incountry technical assistance advisors.

_ Business development and partnership management._

  • Pitch to new prospective financial institution partners and plan roadshows.
  • Coordinate technical assistance projects with stakeholders including local consultants, Financial Institutions, Microfinance associations, private school associations, and other stakeholders.

_ Marketing_

  • Prepare partnership proposals for new financial institutions and generate content for marketing to be disseminated across multichannels.

_ Technical Assistance Delivery_

  • Deliver technical assistance products to financial institution partners across Africa
  • Formulate program strategy through research projects to increase value outcomes
  • Design financial products and processes that serve the needs of the affordable education sector.
  • Deliver ongoing training to Financial Institutions partners.
  • Develop credit scoring models for financial institutions to assess risk and establish sustainable portfolios.
  • Serve as a project manager in overseeing multiple projects, reporting, and meeting project deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate in business, economics, finance, or international studies. Postgraduate Degree, preferred.
  • 510 year's experience in business development
  • Experience in Microfinance or development finance and exposure to fieldwork in Asia is preferred.
  • Prior experience or interest in the education sector.
  • Strong work ethic and a flexible, resultsdriven attitude.
  • Experience working in a fastpaced environment, across multiple time zones, languages, and cultures with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking
  • Ability to present findings or translate data into a coherent visual representation.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Written and verbal fluency in English required, fluency in Hindi/Urdu is desirable.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Up to 25% required annually a combination of local and international.
  • Must be able to travel with mínimal notice and maximum flexibility.
  • Must be willing to travel independently and without escort or administrative planning support to developing nations in Asia such as India, and Indonesia.
