You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to encourage and motivate patients during their rehabilitation. Team working is essential in order to provide an efficient and effective service.

You will be educated to GCSE grade C/4 or above, (or equivalent) standard. Experience of working in a health care setting with some experience of rehabilitation is required. You will receive the training and education necessary to perform this role to the requisite standard.

Weekend working (approximately 1 in 4) as part of a rota is expected.

Applicants must have a valid driving licence and access to a motor vehicle as you will be required to assist the physiotherapist to visit patients in their own home.


Key roles are to assist a visually impaired physiotherapist when assessing and rehabilitating stroke patients, including those with communication difficulties and to provide support when using electronic and paper record keeping systems.


The Physiotherapy Department is committed to providing on-going training on a variety of health care topics in line with continuing professional development.
