We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and motivated Energy & Construction Claims Specialist with experience in Construction, to help achieve our vision of being a leading provider of Energy and Construction solutions, delivering a first-class claims service, and to support our Clients.



  • Handling and resolving claims efficiently and fairly in accordance with our claims Charter / code of Conduct and Claim process guidelines.
  • Working closely with the EPC Claims team and EPC Claim Manager towards delivery of our corporate goals whilst promoting LSM core values.
  • We are a team of twenty three claims specialist with expertise across many classes of business. Reporting to the Claims Manager - EPC, this role will be an integral part of our EPC team of which we have three technical leads, and four claims specialists.
Working closely with Underwriting, Engineering & Claims to support the retention and attraction of Clients.

  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Engineering and Actuarial on portfolio, risk mitigation, policy language and claim trends.
  • Contribute to the business's thought leadership, developing new ideas and research to support LSM underwriting strategy and our Clients through Energy Transition.
  • Enhance the exposure and profile of the Global Energy & Construction Claim team through our Claims+ offering, attendance at market meetings, as well as business development opportunities at industry events, conferences, and other external engagements.
  • Liaising with market surveyors, adjusters and legal professionals where required.
  • Additionally, financial authority will be reviewed no less than annually.
  • To support the management of all third-party relationship where the third party has delegated claims handling authority.
  • Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms part of your role, and the demonstration of behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to your role, is core to LSM's commitment to our Liberty Values, placing customers at the centre of our business and behaving with integrity. LSM expects you to understand your responsibilities relating to all regulatory and internal requirements, and to proactively demonstrate compliance with these requirements and behaviours at all times. These requirements include the Senior Managers and Certification Regime Conduct Rules ,Solvency II, fair treatment of customers, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblowing
Technical experience and record of claim handling specifically in the Energy and Construction industry sectors.

  • Engineering, Loss Adjusting and or surveying.
  • Competent organizational, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Ability to motivate, develop and mentor more junior team members for the benefit of the individual and the Company.
  • Experience of data analysis.
