Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Help to deliver the growth strategy for each awards scheme to increase entry numbers across the board which will include attending regular awards meetings
  • Use appropriate content channels to deliver engaging content that supports the awards and commercial strategy
  • Understand previous entry patterns and where the areas for growth are in existing and new award schemes
  • Oversee the development of the awards brands, alongside the Business Director, to ensure all products are market leading. This will include reviewing, adding new categories and retiring lowperforming ones and creating value propositions for entering in conjunction with marketing
  • Manage the editorial freelancer(s) to ensure we maximise coverage in new areas and maintain content standards at all times
  • Provide the support required by the brand to execute all Content Lab client campaigns. This will involve both the production of written articles and moderating / chairing live events
  • Attend relevant architecture and design conferences and other events within the UK market
  • Build a strong network of industry contacts who can be called upon as advocates of the brand to fulfill judging and speaking responsibilities
  • The editor should be the face of the brand, moderate and host events, lead and moderate videos, roundtable discussions, podcasts and webinars
  • Extend the reach of the brand by providing data for companies and individuals that should be entering and taking a lead role in any new scheme launches
  • Maintain solid market awareness in order to identify new opportunities in which to expand the brand's scope and public awareness
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and own the development of thought leadership
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of current editorial processes and best practices, sharing information across the group.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the post
  • Manage and maintain copyright and intellectual properties for all content

Key Requirements

  • Significant experience in leading a successful editorial and publication program for a complex organisation
  • Demonstrable experience of working closely with B2B awards schemes
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate closely with other depts. across HBM
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, and prioritisation of projects, editorial production and activities
  • A proven ability in meeting deadlines and working calmly under pressure
  • Excellent ability to build and nurture relationships in the design and architecture communities
