The Public Health Principal will lead on a wide range of priorities which contribute to reducing health inequalities and improving healthy life expectancy, with a particular focus on wellbeing services, tobacco control and sexual health.

The post will play a key role in refreshing our health and wellbeing strategy and will be responsible for leading and supporting development, delivery and evaluation of prevention and public health programmes across the organisation.

Managing a varied portfolio of work, the postholder will have oversight of several workstreams and must be able to manage multiple projects to a high standard, maintaining deadlines and presenting reports as required.

We are looking for a commitment to team-working and a value-centred approach to work, based on respect and a real desire to improve health outcomes for the population of North East Lincolnshire.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic public health professional who will be key in leading the team to achieve our public health ambitions.

The postholder will have substantial experience in programme management and commissioning within public health or a related field, excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with a wide range of audiences, including elected members and external partners.

The postholder will possess public health knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience of delivering public health programmes in a range of settings.

They will be able to analyse and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data and research evidence from a range of sources, making recommendations and inform decision making.

The postholder will also be committed to continuous professional development, have a passion for delivering quality services to the highest standard and possess excellent organisational and managerial skills.

The candidate will have the ability to work effectively on their own and as part of a wider team, with a flexible approach to work.

This role is a blended working role ( the duties of the role may require a blend of home & office working in line with needs of the service)
