Health and Safety Advisor – Civil Engineering Job

  • Region: London
  • We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join a leading Regional Civil Contractor in London. The contractor specializes in various civil engineering sectors, focusing primarily on infrastructure projects.
  • This role will be based in London, with occasional travel to project sites.
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Supporting managers and employees in implementing health and safety systems
    • Conducting incident/accident investigations and writing reports
    • Developing safe operational procedures to address all relevant hazards
    • Performing risk assessments and site inspections to mitigate risks
    • Providing site safety inductions for new personnel
    • Creating internal health and safety policies/strategies
    • Assisting the procurement team with tender documents related to environmental and health and safety concerns
    • Organizing health and safety meetings and training sessions
    • Staying up to date with health and safety regulations
    • Managing the safe disposal of hazardous substances
    • Providing advice on various specialist areas such as fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, machinery safety, and occupational health
