We provide mental health and learning disability care for people across Norfolk and Suffolk. We support a population of just over 1.6 million people and employ more than 4,700 staff.

Our biggest bases are at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich, Wedgwood House, Bury St Edmunds and Woodlands Unit in Ipswich but our staff are based in more than 50 locations.


What you'll be responsible for:

  • Provide accurate, prompt, and efficient secretarial/administrative support to the multidisciplinary team which may include presentations / spreadsheets including complex and confidential reports.
  • Deal effectively, professionally, and courteously, with all types of patient referrals liaising directly with General Practitioners, clinical and medical staff from other areas, service users and their relatives.
  • Liaise with appropriate team members in the case of requests for urgent visits or other emergencies.
  • Liaise in a professional manner with each member of the team, providing relevant information.
  • Ensure the workload of the clinical support team is prioritised to ensure patient safety and meet quality standards.
  • Manage and rearrange team appointment systems and diaries.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
