Experienced Housekeeper for Pub/ Restaurant

The Wheatsheaf Pub and Restaurant, we have 5 ensuite bedrooms and are looking for someone part time to join our housekeeping team.

Ensure thorough reporting of any maintenance issues and missing items in guest rooms. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any concerns. Keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy. Management of laundry etc.


What are we looking for? To successfully fill this role as Housekeeper at The Wheatsheaf, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Good communication skills. A neat and tidy appearance. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.

Ability to work on your own. Although previous housekeeping experience would be beneficial, it is not essential as full training will be provided. Guests check out at 11 am and in at 4pm so the working day is between these times.

Cleaning of the pub/ restaurant will be required around our opening times of 12 Midday at weekends and 4pm Midweek.

Timings can be fairly flexible to work around school hours for example.

We will require you to be available 2 weekdays and weekends.


Room bookings may come in late so you must be able to accommodate this if it is your rotaed day.

Wage £14 per hour paid by invoice.
