WHAT TO EXPECT

As Senior Planner you'll create the plans that deliver our exciting, multi-billion-pound, portfolio of new vehicles and guiding the programme teams, using Primavera P6, you will drive for on-time delivery.

You'll champion best practice planning, scheduling, and programme reporting.

Responsibilities include developing credible vehicle programme plans (VPFs), proactive schedule management, and steering programme teams around conflicts, constraints, and risks in the plan.


WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Development and management of integrated schedules, using P
  • Work with all members of the programme team to ensure their functional work and workstreams plans supports the programme plan.
  • Identify areas of risk and conflict within the plans and develop contingency plans.
  • Compile management reports and associated metrics to support management reviews.
  • Guide the programme through the initial contracting of schedule management at the start of the programme. The creation of the programme plan and associated subplans, and the management and tracking of the plan through to fruition.
  • Provide guidance, advice and coaching to the programme team and the wider planning function.
  • Ensure compliance with all data quality and systems alignment standards.
  • Provide guidance and act as mentor to more junior planners.
  • Able to operate independently with mínimal supervision.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

  • A planning mindset; including understanding the principles of schedule creation, management, and critical path analysis.
  • Experience in the use of schedule management software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project).
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to enable you to identify, navigate, and ultimately resolve any issues in the plan.

Desirable:

  • Experienced user of Primavera P
  • Programme Management qualifications (e.g. APM/PMP).
  • Understanding of the PCDS Process.
  • Experience of working on major projects in a relevant industry concerned with new product development (e.g., Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Oil and Gas
