WHAT TO EXPECT:
This position sits within the newly formed cross functional Engineering Operations team supporting the TPEM programmes under the new partnership between JLR and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM). Under the partnership TPEM will develop its high-end electric vehicle based on JLRs EMA platform, having access to JLRs world class engineering expertise and manufacturing processes, including propulsion, electrical architecture, platform/chassis, accelerating TPEM's electrification journey.
The successful applicant will have the unique opportunity not only to work across the full breadth of our EO team, but also across two organisations as our operational delivery lead on the recently announced programme with TPEM. This role will mainly focus on the facilitation of Pre-Production builds and the onboarding of TPEM into our toolsets and processes.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
● Tool Infrastructure set up to enable the engineering between the two organisations to take place.
● Providing TPEM with access & onboarding facilities to JLR EMA data through PLM tools landscape.
● Maintain the data transfer process between JLR and TPEM PLM systems.
● Support with the Pre-production Prototype build
● Maintain supplier relationships & contractual SoW management.
● Maintain specific vehicle data within JLR PLM system in accordance with JLR PLM variant configuration process, including the required EMA architectural data.
● Managing communications with stakeholders, assisting performance through liaising with functional attribute leaders by leading Stakeholder Alignment session.
● Assisting to drive continuous technical excellence by capturing best practice from all available benchmark sources.
● Applying analytical rigour to develop and drive well thought out operational plans, collaborate across functions and combine a short term, pragmatic focus with strategic vision.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Previous experience in a similar role in Project Management with track record of delivery
• Analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base
• MS Office and Jira/Confluence competencies
• Ability to present complex data & issues to a varied audience
• Experience of Problem Resolution using structured approaches
• Ability to manage risks and issues
• Methodical detailed approach to work context
