The successful applicant will be supported by the current post holder in a four week induction period to ensure a smooth and informative transition into the role.

Ward 3 is a working age male acute ward. The ward provides care for individuals with complex mental health needs requiring inpatient care. The role of the Ward Administrator is crucial in the effective running of the ward.

The successful applicant will be required to have oversight of the wards stores and supplies ensuring that they are adequately replenished through the internal procurement system.

Effective communication is essential in order to liaise with varied professions and services to organise and book meetings and appointments.

An empathic approach is required as although the post is administrative, successful applicants will engage with service users and relatives in their day to day role.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate excellent organisational abilities and be able to effectively time manage.

Duties will be assigned by the Ward Manager, therefore effective prioritising to independently manage work loads is an essential skill in order to be responsive to arsing needs of the ward.

Successful applicants will be required to be computer literature and be able to use a variety of computer programs, to have a firm understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality and data protection.

Admin specific support is provided through the admin forum to offer administrator of all levels within eth service to come together and discuss topical issues relevant to the role and have protected space to reflect and develop with other professionals of the same discipline.
