Hourly PA / Carer / Support worker / Driver to support Young Man at home in Stoke-on-Trent
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a 20-year-old wheelchair user with Muscular Dystrophy.

Join his team of PAs to work with him at home throughout the week. The shifts are predominantly during the day, with occasions to finish late night.

Start Date:
September 2023

Pay Rate:
£15 per hour

Shifts:12-36 hours per week, this can be discussed during the interview

Holidays: 5.6 weeks' holiday pro rata.

About the Job

Duties would include:

  • Supporting our client with all aspects of his life, practical assistance both in the house and on trips out.
  • Driving applicants must be confident and competent drivers, holding a full UK driving licence
  • Light housework and preparation of food.
  • Providing personal care.
  • Assisting our client on nights out
Previous care experience is not required as full training will be given.

About You

You will need to be:

  • Local to ST3 area and have your own transport
  • Motivated and enthusiastic.
  • A good timekeeper.
  • Reliable and organised and maintain excellent standards.
  • Use your own initiative
  • Flexible and hardworking.
  • A good conversationalist but also a good listener.
  • Able to work within a team on occasion but also have the confidence to work unsupervised
  • Fluent in English
  • Of smart appearance and have a sense of pride in your work
  • Calm, patient and caring with a friendly approach and a good sense of humour.
You will be fully trained prior to starting, so previous experience of this type of work is not required


You must be able to respect our client's privacy and have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.
