Job description


Reporting into the UK Learning Technology lead, the Learning Technology Digital Lead will be responsible for managing the UK Learning clients in ongoing delivery across multiple contracts.

This successful individual will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of Learning technology, working with Learning leadership and clients as well as internal DevOps teams, Application Support, Data teams as well as the wider Connected Learning business.


Role Overview

  • Accountable for the overall technology service delivery managing risk and quality of service against contractual SLA's.
  • Define, plan, manage and deliver complex learning projects for multiple UK clients.
  • Manage project deliveries to time, budget and quality using a riskbased approach, and ensuring alignment to all KPMG engagement and QRM processes.
  • Manage and estimate multiple projects from inception to closure for both proposals and delivery using commercial standard estimates for each type of learning and challenging/refining these estimates to ensure their appropriateness.
  • Work with globally dispersed teams and product managers where necessary on technology product roadmap.
  • Helping drive the customer success of the Learning technology working with release, delivery, operations and sales teams to drive maximum value.
  • Manage digital risks and issues and be accountable for project governance including scope creep.
  • Resource priorities appropriately and manage those resources against tasks/actions daily throughout continuous delivery, with consideration to team skills / personal development requirements.
  • Deliver robust and relevant reporting to variety of stakeholders, including business and technical stakeholders relating to ongoing delivery.
  • Responsible for the ongoing budget and financial management in line with forecasts.
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Lead technical design and operations SMEs throughout delivery by working closely with the team in a planned and consistent way.
  • Consult with clients and work with their project managers in delivery, including resolving digital related issues that impact operational performance or put contractual delivery at risk.
  • Participate in sales to land projects by contributing to proposal development, advising on feasibility, pricing, timeframes, risks and assumptions.
  • Manage the pipeline of demand from a project and product perspective, based on client and market requirements, to help drive forecasts and planning.
  • Set up projects appropriately using Sentinel and MSD as appropriate, and any other internal pipeline tools.

Experience and Background

  • Proven project management experience in learning and/or technology
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
  • An ability to champion governance, risk and engagement processes and be responsible for others following the processes
  • Experience in the change management processes related to scope change / creep
  • Budget management experience.
  • A track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget, working with challenging timelines while ensuring quality of the product is maintained.
  • The ability to work in a fastpaced environment, quickly handle changing priorities, and be capable of managing resources to achieve maximum results.
  • Confident in dealing with complexity and ambiguity and managing competing agendas/priorities
  • Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities
  • Experience in reporting to and demonstrating tact and diplomacy when managing key stakeholders, both client and internal, across all levels
  • Adept at working closely with technical build and delivery teams
  • Demonstrable ability to plan, foresee immediate considerations and longerterm risks
  • Be proactive and a selfstarter
  • A high level of experience with technology toolsets such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps and Source
  • Strong experience in the MS suite, specifically Excel for financial reporting
