As a Sales Assistant, your role involves supporting the store team in boosting sales performance and managing daily store operations while delivering outstanding customer service to enhance KPI performance.

Reflecting Majestic Wine's customer-centric approach, you'll act as a store ambassador, striving to enrich the shopping experience for every customer.

  • Drive sales performance and exceed targets by emphasizing KPI delivery.
  • Focus on selling the product story rather than offering discounts.
  • Take charge of enhancing your wine knowledge, aiding in your WSET qualification and boosting confidence in sales.
  • Maintain the store's physical appearance and uphold internal and external maintenance tasks.
  • Identify operational enhancement opportunities and collaborate with the team to implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and mandatory training while maintaining store safety.
  • Support junior team members as a role model and provide feedback to the Store Manager.
  • Assume key holder responsibilities, understanding opening and closing compliance.

An ideal candidate needs to be self-driven, capable of thriving independently and within a team setting.

  • Possessing wine knowledge is advantageous, but a strong desire to learn is crucial to attain the WSET level 2 wine qualifications.
  • Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving license for a minimum of 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
