Why this job matters
The Major Deal Architect leads deals generally over £10m in Central Government, Public Safety and Justice and Defence. You will be the deal lead for some of the most strategic deals in BT Business.

What you'll be doing

  • Works with a Sales Lead to drive large and complex deals for Public Sector large customers (>£10m) or strategically important deals, with targets linked to specific customer opportunities and their outcomes.
  • Takes responsibility for standing up the wider team, this is likely to include Solution Architects, Bid Finance, Bid Managers, and Service Architects.
  • Informs customers thinking on high level design, attends customer engagement sessions to help qualify and position for BT, attends competitor reviews and BT deal reviews.
  • Leads on reporting to PQQ's, ITT's and ITN's and structures responses to always be compliant.
  • Works with all relevant groups to develop and negotiate the final contract in readiness for handover to the Contract/Business Management team.

  • Expertise in projects focussed within Public Sector.
  • Telecommunication, Technology and/or IT experience.
  • Experience of bid production process or tender production for Public Sector tenders.
  • Knowledge of open/restricted/competitive dialogue/frameworks for structured opportunities would be beneficial.
