UKHO is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence.

We work with a wide range of data suppliers and partners, surveying and charting the world's oceans in order to develop and serve world leading software and data solutions to commercial shipping companies, navies and maritime organisations.


Our products ensure safe navigation and global trade efficiency and support other marine activities including economic development, environmental protection, resource exploration and utilisation, scientific research and security and defence.


The role


This post is an integral part of the International Cartographic and Hydrographic Training Team, working within the International Training Academy to deliver high quality training, face to face in the UK, and to our international community online.


You will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of cartographic training, working with the wider International Training Team and International Training Academy Officer to plan and evaluate effective programmes for our international delegates.


About you


You will be expected to have excellent organisational and communication skills combined with a working knowledge of S-57 Geospatial data capture and modelling and Geospatial data manipulation.


You will also need experience in the compilation and maintenance of databases, products and datasets with a CLF Level 4 or above.

Proficiency in operating the CARIS toolset is equally important.
