Recognised management qualification or relevant experience. To work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to maintain recognised standards promoting efficient service management.

To monitor targets and raise issues such as shortfall or breaches with the Programme Manager and action measures to resolve problems.

To deputise for the Programme Manager in their absence attending meetings if required To problem solve day to day issues arising by using experience and knowledge.

To develop an in depth understanding of the NHSBSP and RTT including national cancer targets. To play an active part in the development and evolution of local protocols and the QMS system. To provide training and mentor new members of the admin and clerical team. To organise and adjust specialist clinics as directed by the clinical team to meet service needs.


To work flexibly with the ability to cover evenings and weekends if required Ability to deal with potentially distressing situations Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience of hospital and IT systems including Microsoft Office, PAS, MAXIMs, RADAR with advance keyboard and IT skills.

To supervise and manage the Mermaid Centre Clerical Team to ensure service delivery needs are met and informal HR matters actioned swiftly.
